Pisa sweater is worked by pieces and then graft to shape the sweater.

SUGGESTED NEEDLES

4.5 mm [US 7] circular needles ( 80 or 100 cm [ 32 or 40 inches] )

5 mm [US 8] circular needles ( 80 or 100 cm [ 32 or 40 inches] )

KNITTING DENSITY

In mixed cables [Uneven Cable, p2, Central Cable] using 6 mm [US 10] needles

21 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches]

If mixed cable knitting density is in between 21 sts - 23 sts range for your preferred light weight yarn and you are not seeking an extreme-oversized fit, it’s ok for the project.

In ribbing (k2, p2) stitch using 5 mm [US 8] needles

14 sts x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches]

SIZE GUIDE

Sweater is intended for a front-back reversible poncho-feel fit. How oversized the sweater (larger in circumference than your bust measurement) is determined by your preference. Size 2 is designed for typical approx. 20 cm [7.9 inches] positive ease look, suitable for matching with winter vest or wearing itself. Size 3 is designed to be a statement outwear piece with XL feel fit, suitable for wearing itself or with under layers.

The photos demonstrate how a size 3 wears on a person with chest circumference of 88 cm [34.6 inches], a typical size XS/S.
