‘When basic is enough’ dual pillowcases are two chunky fall/winter pillowcases. Basic cable pillowcase features large scale repeating cable pattern, side double-knitting bands for side closure and double sided statement buttons. Base ribbing pillowcase features continuous half-brioche ribbing, seamless ribbing bands for side closure and double sided statement buttons.
 
WORKFLOW
Basic Cable Pillowcase:
First, work in pattern cable stitch in flat with double-knitting side bands. Then graft pillowcase top and bottom with kitchener stitch. To finish, sew on buttons.
Basic Ribbing Pillowcase:
First, work in half-brioche stitch in flat. Then graft pillowcase top and bottom with 3-needle binding off method. To finish, sew on buttons.

SUGGESTED NEEDLES 
8 mm [US 11] circular needles ( 80 or 100 cm [ 32 or 40 inches] )
6 mm [US 10] circular needles ( 80 or 100 cm [ 32 or 40 inches] )
OR required needle size to obtain gauge
6 mm [US 2.5] double-pointed needles (15 cm [6 inches] ) - for grafting
 
KNITTING DENSITY
In pattern cable stitch using 8 mm [US 11] needles
13 sts x 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches]
In half-brioche stitch using 6 mm [US 10] needles
13 sts x 24 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches]

Atelier Pure Laine, La 2 Brins, 100 gr. / 100 m - Off White
Knit the basic cable pillowcase with 1 strand of 2 brins.
 
Basic Ribbing Pillowcase:  
La Plus Fine - 500 m x 2
Atelier Pure Laine, La Plus Fine, 100 gr. / 266 m - Off White
Knit the basic ribbing pillowcase with 2 strands of plus fine held together.
 
12 buttons:  approx. 3 cm [1.2 inches] diam. each
 
Yarn Alternatives
Basic Cable Pillowcase:  
1 strand of any bulky (12 ply) yarn OR 1 strand of aran (10 ply) yarn held together with light fingering (2 ply) yarn
